Dear C E,
Hello! My name is M, and I’m 15. I live in a town in the north-east of Italy, called Grumolo delle Abbadesse, next to Vicenza.
I’m writing to you because they’ve just told me that you’re going to be my guest for three days. I’m so happy that you’re coming to my house!
I know that you’re going to tour a lot of beautiful cities of Europe –lucky you!- and I think you’ll be a little tired after that journey, but don’t worry: Grumolo is a very small, sleeping and quiet village in the country; staying here will be an occasion for you to relax.
I’ll make you meet my friends and maybe go round for Vicenza’s city centre, which is really a beautiful city to me.
I can tell you something about me: my favourite hobby is reading, especially Stephen King’s books, and mangas. I’m attending a school named Quadri, which is a “liceo scientifico”, a school where you can study scientific subjects but also languages; my favourite ones are English, of course, and Latin. It’s quite a difficult language, but it’s fascinating to me. On the other side, I can’t stand physical education lessons…
I don’t watch a lot of television, but I love horror and thriller films and dramas, like House md. I can’t stand love stories and soap operas, ‘cause I find them too soppy.
I have to admit that sometimes I’m a little reserved with strangers and I like to be in solitude, that’s why sometimes people tell me I’m a little bit different from other girls. But I also appreciate to stay with my contemporaries…
I live in a flat with my father, O, and my mother, R. They are both 52. I also have got a sister, A, who’s 23, but she doesn’t live with us. If that will be possible, I would like you to meet her, but I’m not sure.
Well, I think that’s all I really would like to know what are you like, and what are you interested in.

P.S. In the piece of paper with your name and e-mail that they gave me, there’s written: “No milk (only), asthma” Does that mean you can’t drink milk but you can eat foods like cheese, yoghurt, and other dairy products?

Bene, ora che avete anche letto questo breve sunto della mia esistenza fin ora , posso indagare anche sulla vostra chiedendovi di specificare le vostre competenze in inglese? Basta un “mio padre insegna inglese” o “laureato in inglese”…
